  I'd forgotten to take my hayfever tablet and was far from the hotel in Palma when all the tree pollen started falling and I needed an antihistamine ASAP! Of course this being Spain there are pharmacies every 10 metres, and thank God there was as the lady in this store understood what I was looking for and spoke good English (I did apologise first in Spanish that my Spanish was very bad, and she immediately switched to English!) and she was able to give me a pack of 7 antihistamines for hayfever. The service was great, very friendly staff and they saved me a day of itchy, red, puffy eyes and constant sneezing! As a side note: If you're from the UK where you're used to so many drugs being available on the shelves, in Spain they keep it almost all behind the desk and they will get it for you, even simple painkillers. So the pharmacies do have it all, no prescription, but you can't just grab it from the shelf yourself!
