I rented bikes through BikeExperienceMallorca, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The bikes were delivered late, and we had to wait at the shop to receive them. During our ride, we caused a few scratches to some bike components. These parts were already used and still fully functional, yet I was forced to purchase replacements out of pocket, as I only had my own personal insurance. After the trip, my insurance company requested documentation from the rental company to process a claim. I emailed them several times with no response. When I finally managed to speak to someone by phone, they assured me the documents would be sent — but I never received anything. As a result, my insurance could not reimburse me, and what should have been two days of cycling ended up costing me €700. They seemed helpful up until payment was made. After that, their customer service was nonexistent. Very disappointing experience.

Im sorry to share but I have not ever been treated with such disrespect on top of the point that I will share with all of you bellow. This is only with the sole intention to help all the good cyclist out there avoid the same/ or similar thing happening to you. On Tuesday the 3rd of October 2023 I was passing by Manacor and stoped at this bike store to see if they had a HopeTech Bottom Bracket tool (htt188) so I could install my new 108 euro bb that I was sponsored for my new race bike. After asking and see they didn’t have this tool for sale, I then asked the guy working there ( this is the very same guy I have been in communication with since this point onwards) if they by any chance have the HopeTech Htt188 BB tool in the mechanic sector of the shop. I clearly and carefully explained that this tool is specific and only compatible to HopeTech BSA 30mm. I also explained that it’s not a usually BB and most stores don’t have it. He at this point went behind the desk and made a call to ask about if they had this BB tool. After he put down the phone he told me that “yes, we have this tool for your hope BB”. I didn’t want there to be any mistake so I asked him again if he is sure about the fact that they have this specific tool, gave him the exact model number again, and model number of my BB I needed to install. He then went on to confirm that, “yes, we have this tool”. Again before leaving the store, as I live 45 minutes away by car and did t want to make a waste of time and fuel out of it, I asked if he is absolutely sure and he again said “yes, don’t worry, we have the tool you need”. So at this point all was good, I was trusting he has the tool. I told my sponsors that I found a shop that has the tool and they don’t need to worry. Today on Thursday, 5 October 2023 before leaving my home and packing my brand new race bike. I called the shop to confirm they are open and I can come through to install the BB. The same guy I had been taking to on 3rd October 2023 answered the phone, told me that they are open and confirmed they have the correct tool so it’s ok for me to come. With relief I happily packed my bike and drove 45 minutes to the store. When I arrived he asked to take my bike upstairs ( not to the mechanic section but somewhere upstairs to see which tool fits….) at this point I started to get confused.. I instead offered for him to take my brand new bb (non drive side) in the box ( drive side I had already hand tighten into the frame) but he insisted to take my bike. I was not comfortable with this, so I stayed with the point that he can take my non drive side bb (still not understanding why he wanted to take my bike, as it’s completely unnecessary and I explained to him I’m not comfortable with that). He then took my brand new bb non drive side upstairs to see which bb tool fits. I was being to polite, but already knew they didn’t have it and my time was wasted as there is only one specific tool( as I explained) that fits. I choose to remain positive and wait patiently, hoping I was wrong and they do have the tool as they promised me multiple times. When coming back they guy dropped my BB in the floor, said nothing and then came and told me they don’t have the tool needed…… This can’t be real, but friendly people, it’s true. To top it off, i tried to expose the fact that he had just cost me 20 euros of fuel and 1hr 30 minutes of my time but instead of an apology or explanation he started to rudely over talk me(I was only being empathic, kind and trying to find a reason/ understanding in this horrible situation)and he said “ as I said, we don’t have the tool and you can leave as we can’t help you” at this point my patience definitely ran out and I stood my ground to gain reason but this guy refuted to converse with me and just continued to over speak me, show no respect and didn’t even have it in him to apologise for a ridiculous cost of time, damage to my new bottom bracket by damaging the thread, dropping it and not having the tool after specifically insuring me I can come and they have the tool.
