Was Radfahrer sagen

I’m a local rider and Palma resident and after several friends and acquaintances bought high end bikes (Colnago and Wilier) from this location they suggested I try the workshop. So first I booked my SWorks Tarmac for a full strip down service. I was a bit surprised when it returned with the front brakes making some weird noises - turns out the pads had been reinstalled the wrong way round! With the left pad back on the left side and right on the right side the brakes were then running perfectly. But they'd also "forgotten" to install the new tyres I'd left with the bike - so it meant a 30 minute wait on collection while they sorted this out and installed the tyres - annoyingly one was installed the wrong way around - but I didn't notice this until some weeks after the service. Also I found nothing on the bike was torqued to spec. Easily fixed though and I was ready to forget these "minor" issues on my first VeloMallorca service experience. So next I booked in my 9 month old Pinarello Dogma in for the same full strip down and rebuild service. Immediately after the service there was something clearly wrong with the shifting, I returned the bike and asked them to address this issue - they had the bike for another full day and told me it was fixed. But the following day on my first ride the shifting issue was clearly still there. Had they actually ridden the bike before and after to check the problem had been fully fixed?? I assume not! After several weeks, I decided I really had to get this shifting issue properly resolved. The bike just wasn’t right, so I took it to another local and trusted workshop. Where they quickly diagnosed the shifting problem and sorted this out. Why couldn’t VeloMallorca do this?? They also did some other investigations and found that the bike had been reassembled by VeloMallorca without any lubrication in the BB and the freehub. To the extent that in just a few weeks, corrosion had occurred inside the BB (see photos). Lubrication is simple basic servicing. It is reasonable to assume that in a “full strip down service” the bike would have been reassembled with the correct lubricants in all the required locations. Sadly this was clearly not the case. I shared this feedback with VeloMallorca and they immediately offered me another full strip down service on both my bikes to resolve any remaining issues. I have politely declined this offer because by this time all my trust in their professional diligence and service quality had disappeared. I won’t be going back to VeloMallorca and I will of course be suggesting to my local friends and acquaintances who had previously recommended this place to me, to take their new bikes elsewhere for all needed servicing.

The workshop team did a great job saving my old rim break bike from certain death after BB issues and gave it new a life. The service was great, staff friendly and the shop is beautiful. Would return anytime and can highly recommend.

I had been customer for 4 years and they always provided quick and quality service for the fair price. In particular I recommend Luis as a knowledgeable and friendly mechanic and a great ride leader as well.
