Rider Rating is the cyclists' score for Mallorca hotels: bike storage, tools, breakfast and roads, rated by riders who stayed there. A hotel gets a score from 3 ratings.
Every rating comes from a signed-in account, one per hotel, for a stay in the last 3 years. A moderator reads each one before it goes live. Ratings sent right after a Ride Buddies trip are labelled as such.
We don't check bookings or receipts, so ratings are not verified stays.
Riders answer four questions from 1 to 5. A rating's overall score weights them like this:
Recent stays count more: a rating's weight halves every 24 months, and never drops below a quarter. Hotels change, so old stays matter less.
The score you see is that weighted average, with one decimal. It shows once a hotel has 3 approved ratings; before that we show how many it has.
In "Top rated by riders", hotels with few ratings are pulled toward the island-wide average of riders' scores, so a handful of perfect scores doesn't outrank many good ones.
Facilities we checked ourselves (a locked bike room, a wash area, breakfast times) are shown as separate badges and are never mixed into the score.
No payment, partnership or affiliate link changes a score, a rating or a rank. Hotels can't remove ratings. Booking or partner links on hotel pages are always labelled.
Rate a stay you had, with your bike, and write for other riders. A moderator rejects a rating that:
You can report any published rating. After 3 reports it's hidden until a moderator decides. Every decision is logged with its reason, and the author is told why.
Ratings can be written in any language. We translate them automatically with DeepL and always show the original too.
