Bike Rental in Mallorca: Compare Road, Gravel and E-Bike Shops

Use this directory to compare bike hire and bike rental shops across Mallorca, then confirm the bike and booking conditions directly with the provider. The listing count and latest data-import date shown on the page describe our current catalogue; they do not guarantee live stock. A missing field means only that the information is not present in our data.

Where to rent: base towns compared

Rent where you sleep. Most shops hand over at their own premises or deliver within a limited area, so the right base saves you a transfer on the first and last day. Our listings cluster in a few places:

• Palma has by far the most listings (well over a hundred), spread between the city centre, the port side and a dense strip along Platja de Palma and s’Arenal. Good for city stays and short airport transfers; the Coll de Sóller and the Tramuntana foothills are within a morning’s ride.
• Alcúdia has around twenty listings across the old town, Port d’Alcúdia and Platja d’Alcúdia. Flat coastal roads for warm-up days, with Cap de Formentor and the climbs to Lluc within reach.
• Port de Pollença accounts for about two-thirds of the roughly eighteen listings filed under Pollença. It is the classic northern base: Formentor, the Coll de Femenia and Pollença → Lluc all start close by.
• Sóller has only a handful of listings, mostly around Port de Sóller. It sits right under Puig Major and the Coll de Sóller, so book early if you want to start there.
• Cala Millor (filed under Sant Llorenç) has around eighteen listings, almost all in Cala Millor and Sa Coma. The east coast suits rolling, lower-traffic rides; the big mountain climbs mean a long ride or a transfer.
• Santanyí has a smaller group of listings around Cala d’Or, Cala Figuera and the town itself, close to Sant Salvador and the quiet roads of the south-east.

Elsewhere, Capdepera covers Cala Ratjada, Muro covers Platja de Muro, Santa Margalida covers Can Picafort, and Felanitx covers the inland south-east. Town pages filter by location only; they do not claim that every listed business carries a particular bike.

Road bike, gravel bike or e-bike?

Most rental fleets in Mallorca are built around road bikes, because the island’s appeal is smooth tarmac and long climbs. Ask for a compact chainset or a large cassette if you plan Sa Calobra, Puig Major or Lluc. What bike hire costs and what is usually included

Prices depend on season, bike level and rental length, so treat these as rough planning ranges rather than quotes. For a day, expect roughly €15–30 for an aluminium road bike, €30–50 for a carbon road bike, €40–70 for a high-end bike with electronic shifting or deep wheels, and €35–60 for an e-road bike. Gravel bikes usually price like mid-range carbon road bikes. Multi-day and weekly rates normally cost less per day, and spring weeks book out first.

Many shops include a helmet, a bottle cage, a basic repair kit (spare tube, levers, mini pump) and pedals of your choice, often with SPD-SL, Look Kéo or SPD options. Hotel delivery and collection, GPS mounts, saddle swaps and damage cover are often extras or only included above a minimum rental length. Get a written total before paying.

Pre-hire checklist

• Frame size: send your height, inseam and current saddle height; ask which model and size the shop is holding, not just “a road bike”.
• Pedals and cleats: confirm the pedal system matches your shoes, or bring your own pedals and a pedal spanner.
• Gearing for climbs: a 34-tooth small ring with a 30–34 tooth sprocket makes the long Tramuntana climbs far more comfortable.
• Deposit and insurance: ask how the deposit is taken (card hold or cash), what damage or theft cover costs and what excess still applies. Check whether your own travel insurance covers rented bikes.
• Breakdowns: ask what happens after a mechanical: roadside pick-up, a replacement bike or a refund for lost days.
• Handover: confirm address, time window and return rules, and photograph the bike at collection.

Plan collection and return

Check the provider’s official website and confirm the collection address, appointment time and return procedure. Published opening hours can change and do not prove that a handover is available. Airport collection and one-way returns should be treated as unconfirmed until the provider supplies the service area, time window, price and handover conditions.
