Which part of Mallorca is best for cycling with a non-cycling partner?
With a partner who doesn't ride, we weight the number of listed hotels and cafés alongside the riding data: Pollença (Port de Pollença) comes out first (20 hotels and 17 cafés listed), then Alcúdia (38 hotels, 5 cafés). We hold no beach, shopping or sightseeing data per town, so that is only a proxy for having a town to spend the day in. Check the town page before you book.
How does the base finder work?
It ranks 11 towns where we have hotel or road-bike rental data and at least one route or climb. For each town it counts climbs starting within your day's reach (20, 30 or 40 km), curated routes, shops with road bikes confirmed on their own websites, hotels with cycling facilities confirmed, cafés and the drive from Palma airport, then adds them up with weights that depend on your answers. There are no editorial scores and no paid placements. The month only changes which nearby climbs are at their best, plus the climate note; we hold no per-town weather data.
