Vuelta a Mallorca (Challenge Mallorca)
Last week of January
A four-day UCI 1.1 series of one-day races (the "Trofeos") used by WorldTour squads as a season opener. Open to spectators along the entire route — public Strava segments included.
The Challenge Mallorca opens the European road season every January with four UCI 1.1 one-day races on consecutive days — the Trofeos Ses Salines, Andratx, Pollença, and Palma. WorldTour teams use it for fitness testing; spectators get the closest a fan can get to the pro peloton without a press pass. Routes change yearly but always include parts of the Tramuntana climbs. Stage timings and start locations are published per edition by the organiser — check them there before planning a roadside day. Bring layers — January mornings in Pollença sit at 4–8 °C even when the afternoons hit 15 °C.
