Water refill points in Andratx
Andratx’s mapped water points come down to a public tap in the town itself plus two traditional wells, pou de Can Dames and pou de sa Coma, out on the lanes east of the centre. There is not much else on this corner of the Tramuntana, which makes Andratx a place to fill deliberately rather than opportunistically.
Andratx is where a lot of Palma rides turn for home and where a lot of Tramuntana days begin, and the water reflects that: it is a town supply, not a route supply. The tap inside town is the one to use if you are simply passing through. The two pous sit on quiet lanes east of the centre — useful on a loop, a genuine detour if you are on the main road and in a hurry.
Beyond the town the map goes quiet quickly, whether you head north on the Ma-10 towards Estellencs or drop down to Port d’Andratx. Fill here rather than counting on the next place. Is the water at these points drinkable?
The dataset behind this map carries no water-quality field, so this page will not tell you a given point is potable — only that it is mapped as a public drinking-water point. Judge it where you stand, and treat a rural well differently from a municipal tap: skip anything with a smell, visible growth, or standing water in the basin. For mains water quality in the municipality, the Ajuntament d’Andratx is who to ask.
Where exactly are pou de Can Dames and pou de sa Coma?
Both sit on lanes east of Andratx rather than on the main road, so reaching them means leaving your line and slowing right down. They work well if your loop already goes that way. If you are riding the main road through town, the tap in the centre costs you far less time.
Is there water on the Ma-10 north of Andratx or on the climbs?
Not in any form you should plan around. Mapped points thin out as soon as you leave town in either direction, and on the coast road your water comes from a village or a bar rather than a roadside fountain. Top up in Andratx and plan the day around the villages you will actually pass through.
