One of the central entries is recorded as an abeurador (an animal watering trough), so look at what you are standing in front of before you put a bidon under it.
That cluster makes Artà a genuinely good place to fill: several points within a few streets of each other, so if one is dry the next costs you a minute rather than a detour. It is also the last dense supply before the quiet roads of the Serra de Llevant, the Ma-15 east towards Capdepera and the run north to Colònia de Sant Pere, where mapped water is sparse.
Two of the town entries are recorded as wheelchair-accessible, which in practice usually means a low kerb and a spout you can reach without stepping up. That is easier in cleats, too. Nothing else about height or flow is in the data, so expect the usual variety: some spouts take a 750 ml bottle cleanly, others are shaped for a mouthful.

Is the water safe to drink?
There is no water-quality field in the dataset behind this map, so this page will not tell you a given point is potable, only that it is mapped as a public drinking-water point. Judge it on the spot, and be more careful with the trough entry than with a municipal tap: skip anything with a smell, visible growth or standing water in the basin. For mains water quality in the municipality, ask the Ajuntament d’Artà.
Can I get a bidon under these, or are they only for drinking from?
Both kinds are here and the data does not distinguish them. Some are proper taps that take a bottle cleanly; others are drinking spouts where you will lose water tilting a bidon under them. Check the height before you unclip both feet, and treat a soft flask as the easier option at the awkward ones.
What should I do if a tap is dry or gone?
Move to the next one. The whole advantage of Artà is that the points are close together. Then correct it in OpenStreetMap so it stops catching riders out; the fix flows back into this map on the next data pull. If the fountain is broken rather than mis-mapped, the town hall is who repairs it.
