Few bases put this many classic climbs on the doorstep. Cap de Formentor is an 18.5 km out-and-back with about 380 m of climbing, and it opens with the Coll de sa Creueta (3.8 km at nearly 6%). Inland, the Coll de Femenia (7.3 km at around 5.5%) is the first half of the long Pollença → Lluc climb, the gateway to Sa Calobra and Puig Major. Mortitx is a quieter alternative. Pollença can be a practical base when your accommodation and planned rides are in northern Mallorca. Check the actual handover address rather than assuming that a business associated with Pollença is beside your hotel. If assistance matters on a long ride, ask how to contact the provider, which area is covered, whether support costs extra and whether a replacement bike is possible.
