Alcúdia shares the northern cycling base with Port de Pollença, and the two are a flat quarter of an hour apart along the bay, which widens your options considerably when something breaks. From here the riding runs three ways: the bay road north to the port and the Formentor turn, west across the s’Albufera flats towards Muro and Sa Pobla, and inland via Campanet for the long climb up to Lluc. The old-town and Platja addresses are the convenient ones if you are staying in the hotel strip; the workshop on the Port de Pollença road is the one you pass without meaning to.
